[1]"And yesterday the assembly proceeded, by joint ballot to the choice of members of the executive council to supply the vacancies occasioned thereby [by the vote to dismiss "Messrs. Mayo and McCraw"] -- and likewise the vacancies occasioned by the death of John Allen deceased and Hardin Burnley, resigned. The votes stood as follows:~"."Of course, Gov.
