[3]The Spirit of Pennsylvania (Easton, PA) is one of two sources which list town totals in addition to total county votes. However, there are three discrepencies in the town totals it lists, when compared to the town totals listed in The Easton Centinel (Easton, PA), and only one discrepency in the county totals listed. They are the same except for John Appel, whose total votes are listed at 760 in the Spirit of Pennsylvania (Easton, PA), rather than 761. The sums (county total votes), match the town totals listed in The Easton Centinel (Easton, PA) for all candidates.
[4]The Union. United States Gazette and True American (Philadelphia, PA) lists 1381 total votes for John Krauss, 1206 votes for George S. Eisenhart, 907 for William Fenstermacher, and 763 total votes for John Appel.
[5]The Spirit of Pennsylvania (Easton lists George S. Eisenhart with 227 votes.
[6]The Spirit of Pennsylvania (Easton, PA) lists William Fenstermacher with 125 votes.
[7]The Spirit of Pennsylvania (Easton, PA) lists John Appel with 61 votes.
