Samuel Holman, Jr. and James Ropes, of last year's board, were re elected, but there was no choice of a third, and the meeting adjourned to half past 2 o'clock. At the adjournment the balloting was renewed for a third Assessor, but there being still no choice, the further proceeding was postponed to the other business of the meeting."
