[7]Der Readinger Adler (Reading, PA) from November 19 lists 715 votes for Christian Ley and 339 for Jacob Bucher in Reading Borough. It is the only source which lists individual township and populated place vote totals for Reading Borough. However, the subsequent Der Readinger Adler (Reading, PA) from November 26 and Die Harrisburger Morgenrothe (Harrisburg, PA) from November 23 both list the vote totals for the Borough of Reading as 716 for Christian Ley and 340 for Jacob Bucher which, when added to the vote totals for the other townships and populated places in Berks County, provide the same vote totals for Berks County as listed in all other sources.
[8]"Majority for Bucher in Dauphin, 463." Der Readinger Adler (Reading, PA). November 26, 1805.
[9]The Dauphin Guardian (Harrisburg, PA) attributes these votes to the township of Annville.
