[6]The Packet (Catskill, NY) lists 831 votes for Peter Lefever Jr., 589 votes for Martin G. Schuneman, 562 votes for Moses Cantine, 532 votes for J. Van Gaasbeek, Jr., 512 votes for Frederick Wesibrook and 369 votes for Johannis T. Jansen, but an addition of the totals of the several towns gives the above totals.

[9]Peter Lefever, Jr. received 162 votes as Peter Lefever. The Packet (Catskill, NY) did not list a town breakdown for these votes.
[10]John Van Gaasbeek, Jr. received 86 votes as John Van Gaasbeek. This left him with a total of 617 votes and should have earned him election in place of Martin G. Schuneman. However, Van Gaasbeek does not appear to have contested the election of Schuneman and Schuneman served in the Assembly in 1798-99.
