[2]"The meeting in this town for choosing a Representative to the General Court, was on Saturday last. The meeting was but thinly attended, .... The motion to choose four Representatives, was opposed, and decided in the negatived by a small majority - motions to choose three and two were also negatived. At the first balloting, there was no choice; at the second, the whole number of votes was 106, of which 54 were for William Willis, Esq. who was declared elected."
