Notes:

[1]Elected.
[2]Elected.
[3]In some counties in Pennsylvania where the Republicans were dominant they became prone to state and regional infighting. The Pennsylvania Republican (Harrisburg, PA)s went through a series of schisms and one of the players in this split was Michael Leib. Thus the description of "a kind of a Leib ticket to divide the Republicans" exists in several 1813 elections.
[4]"In the County of Philadelphia also the triumph of Democracy is complete.-The election has terminated exactly "as we predicted," in spite of all the efforts of Faction and Federalism. The Democratic candidates regularly agreed upon in the City and County of Philadelphia and in the district, have been elected. Neither the Federalists nor Leibites have carried a single Candidate. We trust they never will." The Democratic Press (Philadelphia, PA). October 13, 1813.
[5]"Jacob Fitler, a Democrat, is elected Sheriff of the City and County of Philadelphia, by an average majority of eight hundred over the Federal candidate, and four thousand two hundred over the Leibite candidates. John Porter and Philip Peltz were not candidates for the office of Sheriff, but obligingly lent their names to be run along with Mr. Fitler's." The Democratic Press (Philadelphia, PA). October 16, 1813.
[6]"Jacob Fitler and Dr. John Porter are returned as Sheriffs elect," Poulson's American Daily Advertiser (Philadelphia, PA). October 16, 1813.
[7]Sources list John Porter with 4653 total votes but include an incorrect return for Philadelphia County which has been corrected here.
[8]The Political and Commercial Register (Philadelphia, PA) from October 15 lists John Porter with 2728 votes.
[9]Sources list John Porter with 1930 votes in Philadelphia county but the township and district totals add up to 1938 total votes.
[10]The Democratic Press (Philadelphia, PA) from October 16 lists Richard Palmer with 455 votes in Philadelphia County, but includes individual township and district totals which are incorrect.
