[7]"Unquestionable information is received from Tennessee that Mr. Love is elected an elector. Mr. Love is decidely for Mr. Jefferson and is chosen for the only district in which any doubt was entertained. The entire vote of Tennessee will therefore be for Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Burr." [8]"Monday last being the day appointed for the election of an elector for Mero District, for the purpose of electing a President and Vice President of the United States--Gen. Daniel Smith had the unanimous vote of the board. It is positively asserted that he will vote for Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr."
