[11]"There were two Tickets for Aldermen. The regular Federal ticket had the names of Messrs. Eliot, Head, Tilden, Russell, Lovering, Billings, Hall, and Jenkins; the five first being Federalist, the two next Democrats, and the last of the Middling Interest. The Aldermen on the Democratic and Middling Interest Tickets were the same; and contained five of the names on the Federal ticket. Messrs.
