Notes:

[1]Elected.
[2]Lewis Williams, who ran for Congress in 1813 as a Anti-War Republican, was elected in 1815. He would become an Anti-Administration Republican, unlike Lemuel Sawyer and Felix Walker, who as ex-Congressmen, would probably have supported the Administration. As much of his support came from the Federalists in this district, he is listed as such. His election in 1815 was a surprise and blow to North Carolina Republicans, as he beat the sitting incumbent Meshack Franklin, who was a very prominent and staunch Republican.
