Davis, has been elected as a member of Congress from Pendleton District instead of Mr. Wilson, who had been returned by the Managers - this is found out by counting the votes before the governor. [3]"On counting the votes for Member of Congress for Pendleton and Greenville Districts in this place, it has been ascertained that Warren R. [4]"The Columbia Telescope states that 'Mr. Wilson, member of Congress from Pendleton and Greenville was elected on the first count, at the late general election. The error which we noticed in our last did not occur.' " Cheraw Intelligencer and Southern Register (Cheraw, SC). January 7, 1825.
[5]John Wilson did end up the declared winner in this election and did serve in Congress.
