Notes:
[1]Elected.
[2]"Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman in Pensacola to his friend in Saint Augustine: June 6, 1823. 'The polls closed here on Wednesday; the first two days were so bad that but few voters turned out. Genl R. K. Call received 320 votes in the City of Pensacola, and only 23 at the Town of Florida. I apprehend a poor vote from Escambia County, the river was very high and the weather was bad'." East Florida Herald (Saint Augustine, FL). July 12, 1823.
[3]"During the summer of 1823 Call, for the third time, was requested to become a candidate for Congress; this time he gave his consent. The election was a complete triumph for Call, who polled 100% of the votes in Escambia county, and a large majority of all the votes in West Florida. His popularity had not spread to East Florida, for there he received only six votes, but J. M. Hernandez, Alexander Hamilton, and H. Bethune (sic), the other three candidates, split the vote in such a way that Call received a majority of the total number of votes in the territory." The Florida Historical Quarterly. (April 1943) Vol. XXI No. 4, 335.
