[2]There were two roll call votes taken to fill the post of Sergeant At Arms. The first roll call, on a motion that Thomas Donnelly be appointed Sergeant at Arms, was rejected 42 Yeas to 73 Nays. A Second resolution was made, appointing Caleb Benjamin Sergeant At Arms, was carried with a vote of 62 Yeas to 41 Nays.
