[1]"A Senator in the room of Henry Tazewell, deceased, . . ." " ~ The persons nominated in the Council, were, Wilson C. Nicholas and J. Breckenridge, Esquires. The Council consists of eight members, exclusive of the Governor, who presides ~ each of the persons nominated had four votes, and the Governor doubting his right to vote, withheld it ~ consequently the business remains undecided." The account of James Monroe being chosen a senator in the congress of the United States, in the room of Henry Tazewell, deceased, was copied from the Times a paper published in Alexandria. -- It proves not to be the case. -- The persons nominated in the council, were Wilson C.
