Notes:

[1]Elected.
[2]The Official Results, without the lost and rejected towns, was Israel Smith with 1928 votes, Matthew Lyon with 1630 votes and Isaac Tichenor with 161 votes.
[3]The votes from Fairfax and Isle Motte were "lost by reason of their not being delivered by the proper officer." The Farmer's Library: Or, Vermont Political and Historical Register (Rutland, VT). June 10, 1793.
[4]"You doubtless recollect that on comparing the list after we retired from the court house to Mattock's, I mentioned that there were the votes from several towns in Chittendon county, which I was sure I had received, that were on neither list; but it was thought they could be lost while counting, and the Court's returning prevented our going to the court house again. On my return, I made search in my trunk, where I had kept the votes, to see if they might not be mislaid, but could find nothing of them. And on receiving your letter, I made further search, and found the votes of Georgia, North Hero, Milton and Hinesburg in my clothes trunk where I had mislaid them." Letter from Martin Chittenden (Clerk of the County Court for Chittenden) to N. Osgood, printed in The Farmer's Library: Or, Vermont Political and Historical Register (Rutland, VT). June 10, 1793.
[5]The Official Results list Isaac Tichenor with 48 votes but the town totals add up to 49.
[6]The votes from Fairfax were lost.
[7]The votes from Georgia were rejected.
[8]The votes from Hinesburg were rejected.
[9]The votes from Isle of Motte were lost.
[10]The votes from Milton were rejected.
[11]The votes from North Hero were rejected.
