[7]The Dauphin Guardian (Harrisburg, PA) from October 20, 1807, and other sources (if they list any numbers), list Andrew Shultz with 1025 total votes, James Wallace with 1019 and Jacob Bucher with 988 total votes. The difference may be attributed to the fact that in many published sources it is explained that the "Jonestown district was rejected, and Middle Paxton returns did not come in," as stated in The Freeman's Journal, and Philadelphia Daily Advertiser (Philadelphia, PA) on October 21 and the Oracle of Dauphin on October 17.
