[2]"Accounts have just been received from the County of Richmond, that Richard Conner the federal candidate has succeeded by a handsome majority: it being the first time that Federalism has triumphed there for a number of years. The following is the return of the majorities. Westfield gave a majority for the Federal cadidate of 77. Southfield [gave a majority for the Federal candidate of] 7. Northfield gave a majority for the Democratic candidate of 19. Castleton [gave a majority for the Democratic candidate of] 32. Total Federal majority over Democrat was 33."
