Though these are not the totals reported by most papers and the county totals do not add up to these numbers, they are the totals listed in the Official Election Returns.

[4]There were two different sets of results reported from Erie County. One reports 292 votes for Wilson Smith, 50 votes for Joseph Shannon, and 166 votes for Alexander W. Foster. The other reports 281 votes for Wilson Smith, 50 votes for Joseph Shannon, and 153 votes for Alexander W. Foster.
