Notes:

[1]Elected.
[2]Elected.
[3]Elected.
[4]There seems to have been considerable confusion as to who the electors were pledged for. Elijah Wadsworth is sometimes listed as a Federalist elector or a Quid elector. Since the Federalists had a specific ticket of three electors and Elijah Wadsworth is often listed separately, it would seem he was pledged for James Monroe.
[5]Different sources list Nathaniel Massie as being either a Federalist elector or a Quid elector pledged for James Monroe. In the end, Massie was elected and voted for James Madison in the Electoral College.
[6]"The republicans were so confident of victory, that they brought out but an inconsiderable portion of their strength." The Whig (Baltimore, MD). November 29, 1808.
[7]"As we expected, the democratic ticket for Electors has succeeded in this state; but their majority is small, when we take into view the existing circumstances of the two parties. The nomination on the part of the federalists, was made at so late a period, that it was almost impossibly to give notice in the different places of the state. In many places no election was heled; and the small number of votes given, evinces that a large majority of our citizens determined to stay at home rather than vote for a ticket they considered inimical to the interests of their country." The Supporter (Chillicothe, OH). November 17, 1808.
[8]"It is altogether probable that had Merrs. Putnam, Wells and Schenck been nominated at an earlier period, Ohio would give three votes for a President of the Washington school." The True American and Commercial Advertiser (Philadelphia, PA). December 17, 1808.
