[2]"On yesterday the legislature proceeded by a joint vote of both houses to elect a treasurer and public printer to the commonwealth for the present year, when John P. Thomas, the present treasurer, was re-elected without opposition. The candidats for the office of public printer were Mssrs. Worsley and Overton, Daniel and Charles Bradford, and Gerard and Bledsoe. The latter were elected by a large majority." The Palladium (Frankfort, KY). January 26, 1809.
[3]"On Wednesday last the election for Treasurer and Public Printer of this state took place. Mr. John P. Thomas was elected Treasurer without opposition.
