Notes:
[1]Elected.
[2]The October 2, 1813 issue of the Northumberland Republicaner, a German language newspaper published in Sunbury, has an announcement for a William Scheriff as a candidate for Sheriff. The English spelling of the name would be Sheriff. So, strange as it seems, there was a candidate in 1813 from Columbia County running for Sheriff, with the name William Scheriff/Sheriff.
