[2]"The members of the House of Representatives in like manner proceeded to choose a Speaker. Mr. Rowan of Nelson nominated John Adair; Mr. Metcalf of Nicholas, Joseph C. Breckenridge; and Mr. Bibb of Franklin, Solomon P. Sharp, Esq. Mr. Bibb afterwards withdrew his nomination. On counting the votes they stood as follows: .....
