Notes:

[1]The Columbian, New-York Herald (New York, NY), Public Advertiser (New York, NY), and Mercantile Advertiser use the spelling Jamison for Jameson Cox.
[2]The Columbian, New-York Herald (New York, NY), Public Advertiser (New York, NY), and Mercantile Advertiser use the spelling Morss for John Morrs.
[3]The Columbian uses the spelling Brauwer for Abraham E. Brouwer.
[4]The Public Advertiser (New York, NY) uses the spelling Farmar for Thomas Farmer, Delamontagne for for John Delamontagnie, and Brevort for Henry Brevoort.
[5]The Columbian, New-York Herald (New York, NY), The New-York Gazette and General Advertiser (New York, NY), Commercial Advertiser, New-York Spectator (New York, NY), New-York Evening Post (New York, NY) and Mercantile Advertiser refer to the Republican slate as the Madisonian slate.
[6]The Columbian refers to the Clintonian slate as the Republican slate.
[7]The Mercantile Advertiser (New York, NY) and New-York Evening Post (New York, NY) refer to the Federalist slate as the Federal Republican slate.
[8]The Public Advertiser (New York, NY) refers to the Clintonian slate as the Quid slate.
[9]"The Federal majority last year was 1406, this year it is 1474, over the Madisonian ticket. Last year the Clintonians held up no ticket. The democratic papers persist in stating that the city is still democratic; we need state but one circumstance to prove the falsity of their assertions. Both the democratic parties have done every thing in their power to bring their men to the polls at this election and no one will now assert that any democrat, unless he is converted to federalism, has voted for the federal ticket; yet, notwithstanding these unusual exertions, the federalists have a majority of upwards of 500 over both tickets." New-York Evening Post (New York, NY). May 4, 1812.
[10]"After the nomination of the quid ticket, hundreds of our most zealous and active republicans refused to even give their vote, some, because they considered all efforts on their part, futile and unavailing. Others, because they were disgusted with the proceedings of the office-holders, and were determined to make no exertions to save them from federal power." Public Advertiser (New York, NY). May 4, 1812.
[11]Newspaper sources print the figure 13 without a final digit as the result for John W. Wyman in Ward 7. In order for the figures to add up to the sources' total of 954 for Wyman, the Ward 7 figure would be 130.
