[2]"The House then proceeded to the election of a public printer-and on taking the votes, they stood thus: For William Hunter, 40, John Bradford, 17. A committee was then appointed on the part of the house to meet a committee of the senate to examine the votes and report in whose favour a majority shall be found. The committee withdrew and after some time returned and lists that the votes of both houses stood thus: For William Hunter, 53, John Bradford, 25. And that William Hunter was duly elected."
