[4]In this election, there appeared six more ballots cast than there were voters, the Committee on Privileges and Elections recommended and the house agreed that Benjamin Seabrook and Richard Jenkins should be allowed to retain their seats and that a new election should be held for the third member to break the tie between William Meggett and Lewis Gibbes.
[5]William Meggett and Lewis Gibbes received equal votes. William Meggett was chosen in a special election and qualified on November 24, 1803.
