[4]The lack of a strong Federalist opposition caused the Republicans within this district to fracture. A meeting of Republicans was held in New Berlin and they adpoted the slate of candidates listed under the heading New Berlin Ticket which included Samuel Templeton, George Weirich, and Adam Wilt in this election.
