[10]"From New Haven we are informed, that on Wednesday the bill vesting the choice of Electors for President and Vice President in the Legislature of this state, was passed in the house of Representative by a very great majority - there being in favor of it 147 - against it but 27." [11]"Extract of a letter from a Gentleman in New Haven, to his Friend in this town, dated October 31. - We have this moment concluded the choice of Electors they are .... These Gentleman were all chosen by an almost unanimous Vote in the House of Representative, and without a dissenting Voice in the Council.
