Notes:

[1]Last name also spelled Weinbrenner.
[2]The October 12th edition of the Torch Light and the October 11th edition of the Reservoir lists 2566 votes for William P. Farquhar.
[3]From July 25 through October 4, 1824 the Reservoir and Public Reflector (Fredericktown, MD) a newspaper published in Fredericktown ran lists and announcements of the various candidates running for the offices being contested in the State (October) and Presidential (November) Elections. Announcements also ran in the Frederick-Town Herald (Fredericktown, MD) and the Republican Gazette (Fredericktown, MD) during this time period. Some of the annoucements only ran for a few weeks, others the entire course of the campaign. However, by October 4th, the last issue before the state election, not all of these candidates were still listed as running. Since some had not appeared in the newspapers for several weeks, it may have been an indication they had declined to run for election.
