[6]The Northern Budget (Troy, NY) reports 2873 votes for John Richards; however, the sum of totals per town is 2863.
[7]The Albany Register (Albany, NY) refers to the Federalist candidates as the New York Ticket, and to the Republican ticket as the Virginia Ticket.
[8]In the Assembly returns from Cambridge, two of the Federalist candidates, for some reason, lost votes. On occasion, election officals would inadvertently forget to list all the individuals and their votes. Based on the vote for Congress, there were 733 votes cast in the town of Cambridge. Using that as a guide, it appears that John Crary lost 119 votes and Asahel Clark lost 125 votes. If this was the case, the votes for these candidates would be John Crary, 2693, Asahel Clark, 2639.
[9]"In Washington county three of the New York Assembly Ticket have succeeded, and two of the Virginia Ticket; two of the New York Ticket were left off by about one hundred 'consistent patriots' in the town of Cambridge, and thus it was that two of the Virginia candidates succeeded." The Albany Register (Albany, NY). May 3, 1814.
[10]The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) reports 28 votes for John Richards in Athol.
[11]The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) reports 91 votes for Isaac Bishop in Bolton.
[12]Northern Budget (Troy, NY) and The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) report 125 votes for Nathaniel Pitcher in Queensbury.
[13]The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) reports 73 votes for James Stevenson in Warrensburgh.
[14]The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) reports 201 votes for Nathaniel Pitcher and 202 votes for Isaac Sargent in Granville.
[15]Northern Budget (Troy, NY) and The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) report 244 votes for Asahel Clark in Granville.
[16]Northern Budget (Troy, NY) and The Columbian. (For the Country) (New York, NY) report 195 votes for James Stevenson in Hebron.
