The Sandusky Clarion lists Mordecai Bartley with 155 votes and Alfred Kelley with 774 votes.
Many newspapers list "Sandusky and Seneca." Seneca County was created out of Sandusky County in 1820, but it was not organized with an official county government until 1824, and, until then, all votes were counted with the votes from Sandusky County.
