[5]There were two men with the last name of Scott that were candidates for Assembly from 1811 - 1813. In 1811 both Samuel and James Scott were elected. In 1812 only James Scott was a candidate and in 1813 it was Samuel Scott.
[6]"By the above returns it appears, that notwithstanding a division unhappily existed in the democratick republican ranks, and two different tickets were run by them, yet they were still enabled to carry their representatives to congress, to the senate and to the assembly, and the commissioner.
