[5]There are alternate spellings in various sources over several years for Roger Kinne's last name, including Kinney as used in 1808 newspaper sources, and Roger Kenney. However, members elected to the Legislature had to produce a certificate of election, which contained their legal name, and since the Journal of the New York Assembly, listed the name as Roger Kinne that is the one which has been used.

[6]The American Citizen (New York, NY), May 21, omits returns from Worcester from its Otsego County listings, so its totals are incorrect.

[7]The American Citizen (New York, NY) reports 51 votes for Volkert P. Van Rensselaer in Lisbon.
