Notes:
[1]Elected.
[2]"Both parties claim to have lost by the unfavorable weather. About thirty republican freemen, at any rate, are counted to have been absent - the federalists, it is presumed, cannot produce the names of half that number of absentees. It may not be unworthy of remark, that seven Republican candidates for the freeman's oath were rejected - but all the federal candidates were admitted. Many Republicans think they have a right to complain of unfairness." The Witness (Litchfield, CT). April 15, 1807.
