[3]"Martinsburg, April 29...On Wednesday last, an election took place in this town for a member of congress, to represeent the district composed of Berkeley and Frederick, and two burgesses to represent the county of Berkeley in the house of delegates. In Berkeley County the Election terminated as follows:...Consequently Messrs. Stephenson and Crane are elected." The Scioto Gazette (Chillicothe, OH). May 21, 1801.
