[1]"Federal Republican Nomination. At a meeting of the Committees delegated from the several towns in the County of Columbia, held at the house of Edward O. Holley, in the city of Hudson, on Saturday the 17th of April instant, - Gen. Henry Livingston was unanimously called to the chair, and Peter Van Vleck, Esq. appointed Secretary. Elisha Williams, of Hudson, Thomas Brodhead, of Clermont, John J. Van Valkenburgh, of Chatham and Azariah Pratt, of Austerlitz, were unanimously agreed upon as candidates for the Assembly, to be supported at the ensuing election by the Federalist of Columbia County."
