[2]"On Saturday, (November 10th) information was received by the Senate from a member in his place, that the Lieutenant Governor had departed this life on the preceding evening, whereupon a resolution was moved, declaring that chair constitutionally filled by the pro-tempore appointment made on Thursday, which after considerable debate, was negatived. Those who voted in the affirmative, 9, and those who voted in the negative, 15. The Senate then proceeded to the appointment of a Speaker Pro-Tempore ... and on taking the votes they stood thus:" The Palladium (Frankfort, KY). November 17, 1804.
