[1]This election officially never happened. Virginia attempted to hold Congressional elections in February of 1792 with only partial redistricting. After President Washington used his first veto on the Congressional plan for redistricting in April, these elections were considered null and void. New elections for the third Congress were not held until April of 1793, when Francis Preston would be elected from the new Fourth District.
