Notes:
[1]Elected.
[2]"By late accounts from N.C. we observe with great satisfaction, the encreasing progress of federalism in that respectable State. In the district of Salisbury, Mr. Henderson, of of the federal Candidates had 1970, and Mr. Matthews the other federal Candidate, 1172 votes. Mr. Locke, the only jacobin Candidate had but 867. This shews the happy increase of the influence of truth and reflects much honor on the patriotism and active spirit of the englightened federal citizens of that District." J. Russell's Gazette. Commercial and Political (Boston, MA). September 25, 1800.
