[1]Vermont law required a majority to elect for the U.S. House of Representatives. A second ballot would be held on December 6, 1824.
[2]The Official Results list William C. Bradley with 1961 votes but the town totals add up to 2012 votes. Had all of Bradley's votes been counted he would have had a majority of 34 votes and would have won the election without the benefit of a second election.
[3]The Official Results list William C. Bradley with 637 votes but the town totals add up to 638.
[4]The Official Results list William C. Bradley with 1151 votes but the town totals add up to 1201.
