The Ohio Statesmen and Annals of Progress lists John Maclean with no votes. This is also the only source that lists 3 votes for "others."
"This afternoon at three o'clock, agreeably to a resolution previously made, the senate and house of representatives met in the representatives hall and proceeded to elect, by joint ballot, a senator to congress to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of the hon.
