Yesterday the election of representatives, to represent this county in the state legislature came on when the question of peace or war was fairly decided in favour of the peace party. T. Marshal (son of the chief Justice) and Col. Thornton Buckner are elected by a majority of seventy six over their opponents. This county was last year represented by the war party.
