For some reason, many of the votes listed in the Franklin Herald (Greenfield, MA) lists for 'Lyman' are under scattering in the Official returns, and in Leyden two votes for Elijah Alvord were not entered, although his total was listed as 71, indicating they should have been included. In addition, the Hampden Federalist states that six candidates received votes in the eleven towns from which they had results and gives a summary of votes, listing Solomon Smead and Joseph Rice among those individuals.
