[2]"To show the consistency of the Federalist of Middlesex, it is only necessary to observe, that after having nominated a candidate of their own, Mr. Fay, it was declared in the Centinel (the Columbian Centinel was the leading Federalist newspaper in Massachusetts) of Saturday, that they meant to give their votes for Mr. Fuller. In accordance with this declaration, we understand considerable interest was made in Charlestown for Mr. Fuller by the leading Federalist of that place."
