[3]"On Monday the 2d inst. the inhabitants of this town met for the purpose of choosing suitable persons to represent them for the ensuing year in the General Court of this Commonwealth, when their suffrages were given to Capt. Joseph Titcomb and William Symmes, Esq. A previous vote of the town had been taken that two representatives should be chosen; but it appeared that three had a majority of votes: The abovementioned gentlemen had 93 votes each, and Mr. Matthew Cobb, had 86.
