The highest number of votes received by the candidates for Mr. Adams were 65, and 3 for H. Martin, the only candidate in this district for Mr. Crawford. [10]There are addition errors in the totals given in the various newspapers. Doing the addition from the totals given in the Weekly Messenger (Russsellville) and Kentucky Reporter (Lexington, KY) results in the above totals.
[11]The November 20th Weekly Messenger, the November 29th Reporter, the December 4th Commentator, the December 2nd Kentucky Gazette and the December 29th Cincinnati Advertiser all report 3817 total votes for Clay.
[12]The Cincinnati Advertiser reports 1476 total votes for Jackson.
