Notes:

[1]Elected.
[2]Isaac Wayne (Federalist) resigned his seat prior to the beginning of the session and John Gemmil was elected to replace him for the remainder of the term.
[3]"You will have seen that Mr. Gemmil is the lowest candidate on the republican return, but this circumstance is occasioned by his having some personal enemies in some of the districts, who pursued the base principle of scratching tickets. Let censure be given where censure is due. Mr. Gemmil has been shamefully scratched in the Paoli district and Old Red Lion, and a few votes in West Chester.- Much praise is due to the republicans in all the other districts. The following districts deserve more than a passing paragraph of fame, namely the Manor, Sloan, Gum Tree, Hoods, Chatham, and the Cross Roads...If the election of Mr. Gemmil had been lost by the conduct of his personal enemies in scratching his name off the ticket; the very pen that directs this communication, would have given a full exposition of te impolitic, ungenerous, and unprincipled motives which gave birth to that shameful transaction."
