[2]"Monday, Nov. 3. House of Representatives. A quorum appeared at ten o'clock. After being sworn, the member proceeded to the election of a Speaker. Messrs. Geo. C. Thompson and George Robertson being in nomination. Mr. Robertson had 43 votes, Mr. Thompson 39. Mr. Robertson having a majority of all the votes given, was declared duly elected."
