[1]"On Tuesday last at 12 o'clock the Senators and Representatives met in the Representatives hall, when the following votes were given... A motion of Mr. Harrington, to adjourn the convention until the second Monday of January, failed, and the motion of Mr. Baker to adjourn until Friday next, was agreed to."
[2]"The two houses assembled on Tuesday last, in the Chamber of the House of Representatives, for the purpose of electing a Senator to represent this state in the Senate of the United States. After three ineffectual votes, the Convention adjourned until Friday, at 12 o'clock. The following is a statement of the votes given for each of the candidates."
[3]"On Tuesday the 14th inst. both Houses of the Pennsylvania Legislature met in Convention, to elect a member of the U.S. Senate, in the room of the Hon. Walter Lowrie, whose term of service will expire on the 4th of March next. Three ballotings took place, as follows... No choice being made, the convention adjourned to meet on Friday."
[4]William Marks would eventually be elected on the 32nd ballot in February of 1825.
[5]The Crawford Messenger (Meadville, PA) lists Samuel D. Ingham with 24 votes, John Sergent with 23 votes, Thomas Burnside with 12 votes and John Tod with 1 vote.
