[1]Elected.
[2]Elected.
[3]"The enemies of Federalism have exulted exceedingly at the success of that they are pleased to call the Democratic Republican Ticket, at the late Election. The fact is this: a majority of the Electors of Luzerne, have a full belief in the vailidity of the Connecticut title to lands in this county and evince more spirit in support of its advocates than on any other occasion. Col. Franklin is well known to be a decided Federalist, and a firm Yankee; he has a greater number of votes than any other candidate. Cols. Jenkins and Hyde were nominated by the Democratic Delegates who met at Hancock's; they were succesful; not as Democrats, but as Yankees,--and as such received the support of many decided Federalists." The Luzerne Federalist: and Susquehannah Intelligencer (Wilkes-Barre, PA). October 22, 1803.
[4]Rindaw township was also known as Rush township.
