[4]"Extract of a letter from our Correspondent at Boston, dated 26th April [sic], 1803. 'In the afternoon, the Senate and House met in Convention to fill the vacancies in the Senate ... In York, Mr. Frye was the federal, and Richard F. Cutts the democratic candidate. Frye had 152 votes, and Cutts 76. This was the fairest trial of the strength of the legislature when convened together, and gives us a federal majority of two to one.'" New-York Evening Post (New York, NY). May 30, 1803.
